Katie Rahman is passionate about helping her community. A local resident in the Baulkham Hills Shire, and a fully qualified audiometrist, Katie is now using her skills to help local people hear better.
Katie saw first hand in her birth country of Bangladesh, how the lack of hearing services held people back.
While her home is here with her husband Ricky and two young children, she still takes times to go back to Bangladesh to provide much needed hearing tests to children for free.
Since qualifying in 2011, Katie has been slowly growing her business, Hear-Clear Australia. This year she established two new clinics at Dural and Galston. These clinics are in addition to her work at Willows Retirement Village and with ENTs in Penrith and Norwest.
Making a difference in people’s lives is what drives Katie. “I love it when people come back to me after wearing hearing aids for a while and tell me all the things that they can now hear.”
Wanting to expand the depth and range of services provided by Hear-Clear, Katie sought out a highly skilled and respected clinician. She is delighted that Bruce Allen has joined her team. An audiologist with over 30 years of experience in hearing assessment and rehabilitation and past owner / director of Allen-Fisher Acoustics, Bruce is working with clients at the Dural clinic.
Bruce has particular expertise helping people trouble-shoot difficult clinical issues. “Many people battle on with hearing aids that just aren’t working well for them. I love helping them get the most out of their current hearing aids or fitting them with something new that gets them hearing again.”
