Need help troubleshooting your hearing aids?

Use this handy checklist to investigate and solve the most common issues experienced with hearing aids.
If you can’t solve the problem, bring your hearing aids in to one of our friendly clinics so that we can help you to hear clearly again.

  1. Check the battery door is closed.
  2. Change the battery.
  3. Clean your ear piece with your hearing aid brush.
  4. If this doesn’t work, bring the aid in to be checked.
  1. Check the ear piece is correctly positioned in your ear.
  2. Check you have the correct aid in the correct ear.
  3. Get your ears checked for wax as this can cause feedback or whistling.
  4. If this doesn’t work, bring the aid in to be checked.

  4. Get your ears checked for wax.
  5. Book an appointment with your clinician. Your hearing aids may need reprogramming, if your hearing has changed.

  1. Try another battery and make sure you allow time for the battery to activate after you remove the sticker.
  2. Check the ear piece for wax and clean with your hearing aid brush.
  3. If this doesn’t work, bring the aid into be checked by your friendly clinician.
Make sure you wait 30 seconds between removing the sticker and putting the battery in the hearing aid to allow time for it to activate completely.
